Since 1979, our plant has had an outstanding manufacturing expertise. It is enviable, especially in the second hardwood process. Our hardwood stair parts are produced in large volumes and are sold to distributors and stair manufacturers all over North America.
Supplying raw materials
Menuiserox has a well-established supply network. Our logs and wooden planks are carefully selected in our supplier’s lumberyards. Thus, it allows us to verify the quality of the raw material, the wood grade, the length as well as its provenance. It is of great importance that the raw material comes from the same regions. All of these steps, enable us to maintain consistent and high-quality products.
When logs are purchased, they are cut in planks before being transported to our plant. To full capacity, Menuiserox’s raw material inventory adds up to 1 million board feet; this enables year-round availability of our products.
The equipment and installations
Thank to our facilities that reach up to 75 000 sq.ft., Menuiserox treats the raw material with care. Upon arrival, the lumber is sent to the wood sorting facility to be classified by certified professionals. This first process enables us to check the quality and grades of the wood. Once this step is completed, it is sent to the wood dryers. Hot air wood dryers are powered by a boiler heating system. This operation is crucial in wood processing in order to have outstanding and stable hardwood stair parts.

We are focused on continuous improvement in manufacturing processes in order to offer the best hardwood stair components in the industry. Quality control is implemented in the different steps of the production line. As soon as an employee is hired, the transfer of knowledge takes place to Menuiserox’s standards which are: attention to details and producing top-end quality products.
The Efficiency
Menuiserox owns a high-level stock inventory of raw material. In this manner, our production and lead times are optimized to outcompete competitors. As soon as an order is submitted from our online order system, it is sent to the production line. There, it is carefully monitored through all the processing stages to ensure on-time deliveries.
Experts since 1979 Our history
1979 La fondation
C’est le 6 février 1979 que Simon Boucher se lance officiellement en affaires. Menuisier de profession et travailleur acharné, ce passionné du bois avait une vision bien précise en tête : exploiter une entreprise qui fabrique des matériaux de construction en bois… et c’est ainsi que Menuiserox vit le jour.
Originaire de Beauceville en Chaudière-Appalaches, c’est à cet endroit que ce jeune entrepreneur à peine âgé de 25 ans bâtit son usine. À ses débuts, Menuiserox fabrique et installe des escaliers de bois franc ainsi que de l’ameublement intégré auprès de la clientèle locale.
1985 Les débuts de la distribution
En 1985, la compagnie prend un tournant important en amorçant la vente de ses composantes d’escaliers de bois franc auprès d’installateurs et de fabricants d’escaliers situés dans la région de Québec. Rapidement, cette clientèle cible apprécie les composantes d’escaliers de Menuiserox pour leur qualité. La compagnie concentre alors ses activités dans la fabrication en gros volume des principales pièces d’un escalier soient les marches, les rampes, les poteaux et les nez de paliers.
Décidée à se concentrer dans la distribution, Menuiserox embauche des représentants afin de développer le marché du Québec et par la suite, les marchés canadiens et américains.
2000 L’installation des séchoirs
Vers les années 2000, la croissance bat son plein. Avec 20 ans d’expertise à son actif dans la fabrication de composantes d’escalier, Menuiserox fait maintenant parti des leaders de l’industrie. C’est à ce même moment que le terrain sur lequel est située la première usine devient trop petit pour le nouveau projet d’équipements : l’installation des séchoirs à bois. Menuiserox acquière un nouveau terrain dans le parc industriel de Beauceville et y construit ses propres séchoirs à bois.
2005 La nouvelle usine
En 2005, soit cinq ans après la construction de ses séchoirs à bois, Menuiserox décide de se relocaliser sur ce même terrain. L’entreprise y bâtit une toute nouvelle bâtisse moderne, remplace certains équipements et améliore sa productivité.
2017 La relève
En juillet 2017, Simon Boucher, à la tête de l’entreprise depuis le tout début, se retire peu à peu. Avec en main un plan de relève bien établit, Guillaume Boucher et Jacquot Veilleux se prépare à prendre les rênes de l’entreprise. Un an plus tard, les deux jeunes entrepreneurs acquièrent à part égale Menuiserox. Cette transition se déroule si bien que Menuiserox remporte le prix Sommet de la Relève 2018 remis par le CLD Robert-Cliche.
2019 40 ans d’histoire!
Aujourd’hui, les installations de Menuiserox atteignent 75 000 pi2 de superficie et font parties intégrantes du portrait entrepreneurial de Beauceville. L’entreprise compte à ce jour près d’une centaine d’employés et célèbre avec fierté ses 40 ans d’existence.
